With more than four decades of professional experience in the legal field, Judge Jeanine has certainly proven herself and expert and is a household name. Judge Jeanine Pirro became a member of FOX News Channel in 2006 and is presently a co-host on The Five, which is the highest-rated program in cable news. Furthermore, she serves as the host of The Life of Luxury and Castles USA on FOX Nation, which is FOX News Media’s direct-to-consumer streaming service. The series showcases Pirro as she explores the fascinating history of iconic castles throughout the country.
Judge Pirro started her professional journey at the network in the capacity of a legal analyst. Subsequently, in 2011, she assumed the role of host for her weekend program titled “Justice with Judge Jeanine.” This program consistently maintained its status as the highest-rated show throughout its 11-year tenure in the Saturday evening 9 PM/ET time slot. Before becoming a member of the network, she served as the host of a syndicated weekday court program broadcasted by Warner Brothers, a role that earned her the prestigious accolade of an Emmy award.
Before embarking on her career path, Judge Pirro obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Buffalo, graduating with high honors (magna cum laude) and was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She then pursued her legal education at Albany Law School, where she earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. During her time at Albany Law School, Pirro actively participated in the Law Review publication.
Throughout her illustrious career, Judge Jeanine Pirro has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her accomplishments. This year she will be considered for the Empowered Woman Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award and to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. She will be honored at IAOTP’s annual awards gala on stage at the NYC Plaza Hotel this December for her selection as Top Judge and TV Host of the Year, and she will be featured on the famous Nasdaq Billboard in Times Square NYC.
In addition to her successful career, having an extensive legal tenure of thirty years, Pirro was successfully elected as the Westchester County District Attorney in 1993, and she served in this position for three consecutive terms. She achieved the distinction of being the first female prosecutor of murder cases and spearheaded the establishment of the initial domestic violence section inside a prosecutor’s office nationwide, during her tenure as the assistant district attorney of Westchester. Pirro was elected in 1990, marking her historic appointment as the first female Westchester County Court judge. In 1997, she was designated by the former Governor George Pataki to assume the position of chairperson for the New York State Commission on Domestic Abuse Fatality Review Board. The board’s research efforts played a pivotal role in the enactment of enhanced safeguards for those affected by domestic abuse.
